WHEN SHOULD YOU START YOUR BABY IN SWIM LESSONS?

Has this question ever crossed your mind before? Approximately, 700 children a year drown and a majority of those incidents happen in their own back yard pool. How can we help reduce that number? The important thing to do to help reduce this number is to start your children in swim lessons as early as possible.

Professionals state that children that start swim lessons under the age of 4 will reduce the risk of drowning by 88%. The Bear family in Arizona is a living example of how starting their son in swim lessons at an early age, saved his life. At 16 months, their son was accidently pushed in their hot tub by their family dog. After a few seconds, he knew exactly what to do; float on his back. They give full credit to the infant water safety classes that they taking through a program in Arizona. To view the video clip on The Early Show and learn more, click here.

Here at SafeSplash, we provide you and your children with those same types of infant water safety classes.  We start as early at 6 months.  Even though the pools are closing for the summer, there will still be those vacations that have water all around.  It’s not too late to get started.  We provide year around swim lessons and we are open 7 days a week.  To learn more about our program, visit www.safesplash.com or give us a call at 303-799-1885.
