It’s never too late to learn how to swim. No matter how old you are, developing the swimming skills you need to feel safe and comfortable around water is possible. In our adult swim program, we use our learn to swim progression, but tailor it to adults. So, whether you want to overcome a longtime fear of water, learn the foundations of water safety, work on your side breath, perfect your stroke, or gain endurance, we have a class designed to suit your needs.
From backyard pool parties with your kids to beach vacations with friends and family, life is full of opportunities to make memories in and around the water. Adult swimming lessons equip you with the confidence and skills you need to join in on the fun, even if you’ve never felt comfortable being in the water. After a few lessons, you’ll feel empowered and encouraged, not embarrassed or anxious. You will learn at your own pace, ensuring a rewarding, comfortable experience that will empower you with the skills you need to experience the joy of swimming.
Our adult classes can be an excellent fit for swimmers of all abilities, including adults who already have some experience with swimming or beginners who want to overcome their fear of water. Lessons can help seasoned swimmers refine each stroke to improve their lap times and provide coaching for triathletes who want to hone their swimming skills to increase speed, endurance, and confidence during a triathlon or for everyday fitness.
At SafeSplash, you can choose from various adult swimming classes led by skilled and experienced instructors who tailor each lesson according to your specific needs, challenges, and goals. We even offer private one-on-one swim lessons with personalized attention from attentive, knowledgeable instructors.
At SafeSplash, we understand the unique needs of adult swimmers. Our proven swim school curriculum is as flexible as it is effective, and every lesson plan helps you develop long-term skills in a supportive environment. When you participate in our adult swim school, you can expect:
Our Adult 1 group class (students age 16+) is designed for students with little to no swim experience to those working towards independent swimming. Swimmers start with learning the basic safety skills and progress to independent freestyle. Our small group classes are scheduled weekly on a perpetual basis (same day and time each week). There are up to 3 students in a group class.
In our Adult 2 class (students age 16+), swimmers are already comfortable in the water and are proficient in safety skills. This class level focuses on learning the freestyle side breath, backstroke technique, and fundamentals of breaststroke. Our small group classes are scheduled weekly on a perpetual basis (same day and time each week). There are up to 3 students in a group class.
Our stroke clinics are an excellent option for our most advanced group of swimmers (students age 16+) with an additional focus on stroke technique and learning the components for joining a master’s swim team or training with a group.
Private lessons are available for all skill levels and are a great option for those looking to progress or refine skills quickly. Classes are typically scheduled on a weekly, ongoing basis.
Semi-private lessons are available for all skill levels and are a great option for siblings or friends to be in the same class. Classes are typically scheduled on a weekly, ongoing basis. Swimmers are typically required to book with their semi-private class partner.
We offer infant and toddler swim lessons as early as 4 months of age to help build confidence and get your infant comfortable in the water. Our small ParentTot classes are a great way for parents to bond and socialize with their kiddos while teaching vital water safety skills like breath control, floating and kicking. We also offer Toddler Transition classes for kiddos ages 24-36 months. Parents join their swimmers poolside until they are ready to transition to a small group class without a parent nearby. Both classes focus on foundational water safety skills as well as developing a comfort in the water, which are crucial in developing swimming skills.
We offer a variety of swim lesson programs for children of all ages and levels. Whether your child is just starting to get comfortable in the water or moving on to more advanced techniques we have you covered. Our progressive curriculum starts with foundational skills in beginner level classes and develops swimmers to be advanced swimmers. Whether your goal is basic water safety skills or competing at an elite level, our program can take your child from bubbles to butterfly®. We offer a variety of class types from small group classes featuring a 4:1 student to teacher ratio to semi-private and private lessons.
Our private swim lessons allow swimmers of all ages and levels to progress through our curriculum at their own pace with one of our certified swim instructors. Each 30 minute class will be customized around mastering the skills to become a better, stronger, safer swimmer. Private and semi-private lessons (two swimmers with one instructor) are great options if you are looking for more time focused on your individual swimmer or siblings wanting to be in the same class.
Swimming is a life skill for all and it can also have tremendous therapeutic benefits. Being in water can soothe sensory overload, provide relief from physical discomfort, and provide students with a sense of independence. In addition to teaching water safety skills, swimming lessons can also improve balance, coordination, strength, and range of motion. At SafeSplash Swim School we have a team of certified instructors with various training and experience in working with students with special abilities. We encourage meeting with you and your swimmer prior to starting lessons to discuss your goals and develop a customized teaching plan that meets the needs of your family.
The SafeSplash Wave® program is an endurance, strength, and swim team prep program that takes swimmers who already have knowledge of the competitive swimming strokes and want to refine their swimming skills. Our Wave program is broken up into swimmer groups based on swimmer ability, physical conditioning and current knowledge of the strokes in accordance to USA Swimming standards and our SafeSplash curriculum. Each session includes a set workout with an out of water coach whose primary goal is to mimic the experience one would have on a recreational swim team.
Our swim camps are perfect for swimmers looking to jump start their skills by swimming with us on a more frequent basis. Lesson frequency and consistency (along with quality instruction and a world class swim curriculum) is a key element in progressing a student’s swimming ability. Our swim camps provide lessons multiple times per week and are typically 1 to 3 weeks in duration. We also offer stroke clinics where we focus on specific stroke techniques to refine our student’s skills.
