Swimmer of the Month
Matthew
Matthew is an amazing kid! He has been swimming at SafeSplash Murphy for 10 months. There are many children that are not comfortable with putting their face in the water. Matthew falls into this category. Many times these children will sit on the side of the pool while everyone else is having fun.
However, this is not the case with Matthew. His parents have been extremely patient with him and have consistently brought him to weekly swim lessons. And the consistency has paid off. Matthew put his face “willingly” in the water this past month! The SafeSplash Staff was so excited for him. Now Matthew wants to go first with every activity and gives 100% on everything he does! It is amazing how much confidence putting your face in the water can give you! He is now floating for 5 seconds with his face in the water and diving for rings. Matthew moved up to Level 2B at the end of May!!
Outside the pool, Matthew is a 4 ½ year old preschooler that loves collecting rocks and playing on the swing set. He has a younger brother, Andrew.
Everyone is so proud of Matthew and his accomplishments in the water! We can’t wait until he starts swimming across the pool!!
