Meet the SafeSplash Sterling Team

Hi, I’m Samantha Bates. I am originally from South Africa and have been living in the United States for 24 years. I’ve done a lot of extensive travel throughout the world, and it’s one of my passions to see different countries and get to know other cultures. I have been a swimming instructor for the past seven years as well as an Assistant Manager. I really enjoy teaching babies, kids, and adults how to swim and love working in a swim school. I’ve taught my two children how to swim and emphasize the importance of learning to swim. I also enjoy going hiking, being outdoors, and spending time with my friends and family.

Hello, I’m Cris! I am the DMV trainer and a Lead Instructor for Safe Splash Swim School. I also have been voted 2023 and 2024 Best of Loudoun Youth Sports Coach. I have been a competitive swimmer growing up and have been a swim coach for 13 years now. I also have been a teacher and an administrator for different school systems through the years. Combining the love for swimming and teaching has been my life’s passion and cannot see myself doing anything else. I believe that swimming is a life skill that is a good all-around activity that will prevent drowning and also keep our overall health in good shape. I am truly excited and happy to be a part of such a strong team and a great community.
