When you are a parent, logistics are everything. Whether you have 1 child or 5, it’s all about making sure that you have everything organized so that the kids are always clothed, fed, have their school work done, are at their respective activities (with clean uniforms on), playdates are scheduled, and then, to top it off, there is laundry, a house to keep tidy, pets to care for, making sure the bills are paid on time and, oh yes, many times, your own job to go to each and every day. With so much going on at once, how does it all get done without you losing your mind?
They don’t teach you how to manage your household in home economics (remember those home economics classes in middle school and high school?). There are no college courses in how to manage the kids, a spouse, household errands, a job and every other thing that the world throws at you. Even “super-moms” can get overwhelmed. Here are a few tips that I have found to help keep the house and family organized and on track.
The first 18 months were a blur….3 of everything….3 car seats, 3 cribs, 3 feedings, 3 babies crying, 3 bed time routines, 3 crawlers/toddlers to chase around….and 1 tired mommy! I was not prepared for having 3 babies at once, but like everything else in life, you find creative ways to manage.
