Halloween Chocolate Covered Strawberries

October 25, 2016

I'm down for chocolate covered anything and these cute and easy Halloween Inspired Chocolate Covered Strawberries are no exception. As a kid almost everything that I ate at my Grandma's house was covered in chocolate. To be honest, I'm not sure I remember a time being at my Grandma's and not having some sort of chocolate, or chocolate-dipped something, and that is where the inspiration for these Halloween Chocolate Covered Strawberries came from - my Nan. Well that, and the fact that my local Sprouts has 1 lb containers of strawberries on sale for $1 each!

Easy Halloween Crafts for Kids

October 05, 2016

These easy homemade Halloween Handprint Wreaths make the perfect gift for grandparents and parents. I grew up making crafts in my Grandma's basement. There she taught me how to sew, knit, crochet, and just how to make all sorts of different arts and crafts. Every weekend it was something new. Every time Anthony and I do an arts and crafts project together, it reminds me of the special time I got to spend with my grandma. The one-on-one bonding time, letting our creative sides flow, and just creating all sorts of different projects.

Make Ahead Meals - Perfect For Busy Families

September 21, 2016

School is already in full swing and with our busy schedules, make ahead meals are such a great idea. They make dinner time a breeze, and there is little to no clean up after dinner. Just a few dishes, and maybe a pot or two for side dishes. You can even get some disposable casserole dishes from the dollar store to make your prep even easier, and save some room in your freezer! If you follow my monthly menus, you'll know how much I love just cooking once, and being able to have multiple meals ready. My CrockPot Spaghetti Sauce is the perfect base for these meals. There is so much you can do with it; freeze the sauce just as is it to make a simple pasta dish one night, or mix it with some cheeses and cooked pasta for a baked ziti or use it for one of my most popular recipes - Chicken Parmesan Casserole. The recipe ideas with spaghetti sauce are endless, and best of all, it's very budget friendly!! There are so many options for make ahead meals, from breakfast to dinner with some after-school snacks too! With just a little bit of planning, and prep, you can make a months worth of food in one day. Just think about the time you'll save after work, or on those nights before practice or dance lessons!!
