Michael & Jennifer Lilintahl, Co-Owners

Michael and Jennifer Lilintahl are the proud owners of SafeSplash Swim School Friendship Heights, Columbia Heights and Rockville Pike. They opened their first swim school in 2017 and are honored to be part of the swimming journey for thousands of local families. Michael started swimming at the age of 5, went to college on a full swimming scholarship, and represented his native Venezuela in the 1996 Olympics. Jennifer learned to swim before she learned to walk and started swimming competitively at the age of 5. Jennifer worked for many years in politics, including on the Hill and in the White House. Michael and Jennifer live in Montgomery County and are the parents of two young daughters, Anabel and Sasha, who you will often see joining them at the pool and in lessons.

Tammy, Assistant Manager

Ms. Tammy’s Aquatic career started in her home state of Oklahoma in 1988, since then she has taken on many roles from Beach lifeguard in Hawaii to Water Safety Instructor Trainer. Over the years she has worked with thousands of students of all ages to meet their personal goals, anything from wanting to not be as fearful, swim team time increasement to learning how to swim a triathlon in open water. To this day she remains passionate working in a positive Aquatic environment taking pride in seeing everyone achieve their personal swim goals.

My favorite aspect of working at SafeSplash is fostering water safety and confidence in our young swimmers. I've been a part of the SafeSplash team for 1 year and was inspired to become a swim instructor by my passion for open water freediving and swim education.

I teach class every day to all age groups and skill levels.

I incorporate engaging activities and effective techniques to ensure our lessons are both educational and enjoyable for our students.

Mr. Mike Instructor

I chose SafeSplash because it was a friendly environment and I love working with kids.

I like teaching the Beginner levels and ages 7 and below. I teach on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

My love to work with children inspired me to become an instructor!

I enjoy working at SafeSplash because of all of my students I've gotten to meet and my co-workers too!
