While our core group swim classes are small, our private and semi-private swimming classes in Paramus provide a more personalized experience. Private lessons are 30 minutes long and pair one swimmer with one instructor. Semi-private lessons also last 30 minutes, but two swimmers can join the same lesson, which makes these lessons a wonderful fit for siblings or friends who want to swim together.
Private swim lessons help adults and kids alike increase their skills and comfort in the water. They’re ideal for students who learn better with individual attention, including anxious first-time swimmers, kids with special needs, adults who have put off learning to swim, and competitive swimmers who would benefit from targeted training on specific skill sets. Private lessons are also a great fit for former runners and other athletes who want to learn about lower-impact exercise options.
When you or your child learn how to swim with SafeSplash Paramus, you receive all the benefits of swimming in a safe, supportive and warm environment. And we mean warm both literally and figuratively — our pools are heated to a comfortable temperature and our instructors have a passion for helping swimmers excel. Our experienced teaching team includes competitive swimmers and people who have spent most of their lives in and around the water.
Many parents wonder whether private swim lessons or group swim classes will be best for their child. While every young swimmer is different, certain kids do tend to benefit from one-one-on instruction. If you’re wondering which type of class would be the best fit for your kiddos needs and goals, we encourage you to contact our team via phone or email.
Private lessons are available for all skill levels and are a great option for those looking to progress or refine skills quickly. Classes are typically scheduled on a weekly, ongoing basis.
Semi-private lessons are available for all skill levels and are a great option for siblings or friends to be in the same class. Classes are typically scheduled on a weekly, ongoing basis. Only 1 swimmer? No problem, we'll find a swimming partner for your class.

The SafeSplash Wave® program is an endurance, strength, and swim team prep program that takes swimmers who already have knowledge of the competitive swimming strokes and want to refine their swimming skills. Our Wave program is broken up into swimmer groups based on swimmer ability, physical conditioning and current knowledge of the strokes in accordance to USA Swimming standards and our SafeSplash curriculum. Each session includes a set workout with an out of water coach whose primary goal is to mimic the experience one would have on a recreational swim team.
