Our Grand Prairie (The Epic) SafeSplash Wave® program is an endurance and strength swim team prep program that takes swimmers who already have knowledge of the competitive swimming strokes and want to refine their swimming skills. The Wave program is broken up into 3 skill groups based on both physical conditioning and current experience of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly skills. This swim team training program includes regular weekly sessions with a set workout with an out of water coach whose primary goal is to mimic an experience one would have on a recreational swim team. Since prior knowledge of the competitive strokes is required, stroke technique is coached, but is not the primary focus of the Wave. Whether you’re looking to prepare for a summer swim team, get a jump start on swim team training or just get some mileage in the water practicing stroke technique, our Wave program will add a dose of weekly water fun to your schedule.
At SafeSplash, we believe swimming is a life skill®. Therefore, we approach each one of our swim lessons with great skill, care, and passion. As the official swim school provider of USA Swimming, we know and love swimming! We feel honored that we get the opportunity to not only teach people of all ages and abilities the life-long skill of swimming but we also get the opportunity to introduce thousands of people to the sport of swimming every year.
