Meet the Team at
SafeSplash Swim School - Parker/Lone Tree

One of the most important attributes that define us and the quality of service we provide is our team.  Every member of our team is hired because they have a unique set of experiences and skills that make them one of the best at what they do!  That’s why you’ll see our team using #IAmSafeSplash on posts they make on social media.   Simply put, SafeSplash Swim School - Parker/Lone Tree is defined by our people and our team is what drives the premium experience for you and your student.  We urge you to stop in and get to know us all.  We have a fantastic group of friendly faces that are truly the best and brightest from the communities of Lone Tree, Parker, Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch and Greenwood Village Colorado.

Each one of our swim instructors is certified to teach/coach once they have completed an extensive classroom and in-water training program, a series of instructor shadowing sessions, and in-water instruction testing. In addition, all instructors and staff are CPR certified.  All of our team members contribute to our parent’s blog, which features parenting and family resources, swimming tips, and personal experiences.  Reading their blog posts is a great way to learn more about the perspectives that each of our instructors brings to the pool.  Each instructor is unique and has a unique perspective on teaching our students, and all are the best in the industry!

Below are some of the biographies of our key instructors and management staff.  You’ll notice that all of us have a story and interesting ties to our neighborhood.   Please don’t hesitate to stop by our school and get to know our staff, any time.

Mark McCarson, General Manager

303-799-1885 x152

I was born and raised in Alta Loma, California. In 2012 I married my wife Cortney, who also works for SafeSplash, and together we have our amazing little boy Mavrick. We are a big sports and outdoors family, enjoying activities such as soccer, hiking, fishing, skiing and of course anything aquatics. At the age of 12 is when I first starting competing in both Water Polo and Swim. My love for Water Polo took off in high school where I played both for my local High School, and Club. I was fortunate enough to compete in both Junior Olympics and CIF Playoffs. I was a swim instructor/manager from 2003-2007 for the City of Rancho Cucamonga. After high school I went to Chaffey College, and Azusa Pacific University. After my freshman year of college, I was offered a coaching position with a Colony High School. I spent 9 years as the Head Varsity Boys Water Polo, and Swimming Coach. In 2015 I began coaching for Foothill Club Water Polo, under Asst. US National Team Coach Alex Rodriguez and Asst. Coach of University of Michigan Josh Hower. In 2017 I began my career at SafeSplash Swim School, and moved out here to beautiful Colorado. I really look forward to working at SafeSplash, and to be apart of such an important life skill in your Kiddo’s life’s.

Rachel Clevey, Assistant General Manager

I recently moved here from Virginia and have 7 years of experience in aquatics from swimming competitively, coaching and managing the aquatics department of a country club. Along with swimming, I am passionate about running – three half-marathons and one full marathon.

Katie Gallegos, Manager On Duty

I have been swimming ever since I started swimming lessons at 3 years old, and have been working at safesplash since 2015 starting out as a front desk and lifeguard and working my way up to instructor and now MOD! I am a native to Colorado and the Lone Tree area. I love the weather here as well as the beautiful nature. I am a student at Metropolitan State University of Denver and pursuing a degree in Busniess Management. When I'm not working me you can find me exploring downtown Denver or the mountains, hanging out with my family, friends and dogs, or at a DU hockey game!

In addition to our team, we work hard to partner and support many other small business operators in our local community.  We believe that supporting local small business in our community is one of the ways we can help our community thrive!
