I am originally from Los Angeles, California, and have been involved in aquatics since the age of eight. My journey began after a near-drowning experience at a birthday party. In response, my mother taught me how to swim at the beach—an experience that sparked a lifelong passion for the water. Inspired by the Summer Olympics, I began training independently in water polo and joined a recreational team at age eleven. By thirteen, I was competing at the club level and achieving success as a dedicated athlete.
In high school, I competed at the varsity level in both water polo and swimming. During this time, I also discovered a deeper sense of purpose through lifeguarding and coaching, which allowed me to stay connected to aquatics while giving back to my community.
Over the course of thirteen years in Los Angeles, I served as a head coach for both club and high school water polo teams, in addition to coaching varsity and junior varsity swim and dive for four years. Throughout my coaching career, I have successfully developed athletes who advanced to national-level teams.
In 2023, I relocated to Kansas City, Missouri, where I continue to share my passion for aquatics and focus on developing swimmers of all levels. At SafeSplash, I have had the opportunity to work with many new swimmers and families. I am deeply committed to creating a positive and supportive experience for every customer. My approach emphasizes patience, especially when working with swimmers who have a fear of water, guiding them from their first steps in the pool to becoming confident, swim team–ready athletes. I also prioritize building a responsive, well-trained staff to ensure the highest quality of instruction and customer experience.
