While our core group swim classes are small, our private and semi-private swimming classes in Missouri City provide a more personalized experience. Private lessons are 30 minutes long and pair one swimmer with one instructor. Semi-private lessons also last 30 minutes, but two swimmers can join the same lesson, which makes these lessons a wonderful fit for siblings or friends who want to swim together.
Private swim lessons help adults and kids alike increase their skills and comfort in the water. They’re ideal for students who learn better with individual attention, including anxious first-time swimmers, kids with special needs, adults who have put off learning to swim, and competitive swimmers who would benefit from targeted training on specific skill sets. Private lessons are also a great fit for former runners and other athletes who want to learn about lower-impact exercise options.
When you or your child learn how to swim with SafeSplash Missouri City, you receive all the benefits of swimming in a safe, supportive and warm environment. And we mean warm both literally and figuratively — our pools are heated to a comfortable temperature and our instructors have a passion for helping swimmers excel. Our experienced teaching team includes competitive swimmers and people who have spent most of their lives in and around the water.
Many parents wonder whether private swim lessons or group swim classes will be best for their child. While every young swimmer is different, certain kids do tend to benefit from one-one-on instruction. If you’re wondering which type of class would be the best fit for your kiddos needs and goals, we encourage you to contact our team via phone or email.
Private lessons are available for all skill levels and are a great option for those looking to progress or refine skills quickly. Classes are typically scheduled on a weekly, ongoing basis.
Semi-private lessons are available for all skill levels and are a great option for siblings or friends to be in the same class. Classes are typically scheduled on a weekly, ongoing basis. Swimmers are typically required to book with their semi-private class partner.
When it comes to choosing a swim school, we know you have plenty of options. We also know exactly what swimmers and their families need to have the best experience possible. Missouri City's warm water pools increase comfort and make it easier to focus, but it’s our proven curriculum that leads to lasting skill development:
While every class is different, the lesson plans that guide our swim lessons were developed by a team of world-class swimmers with over 30 years of teaching experience. Every swimmer who joins us will learn to swim at their own pace in a learning environment that emphasizes empowerment and skill retention.
We offer infant and toddler swim lessons as early as 6 months of age to help build confidence and get your infant comfortable in the water. Our small ParentTot classes are a great way for parents to bond and socialize with their kiddos while teaching vital water safety skills like breath control, floating and kicking. We also offer Toddler Transition classes for kiddos ages 18-36 months. Parents join their swimmers poolside until they are ready to transition to a small group class without a parent nearby. Both classes focus on foundational water safety skills as well as developing a comfort in the water, which are crucial in developing swimming skills.
We offer a variety of swim lesson programs for children of all ages and levels. Whether your child is just starting to get comfortable in the water or moving on to more advanced techniques we have you covered. Our progressive curriculum starts with foundational skills in beginner level classes and develops swimmers to be advanced swimmers. Whether your goal is basic water safety skills or competing at an elite level, our program can take your child from bubbles to butterfly®. We offer a variety of class types from small group classes featuring a 4:1 student to teacher ratio to semi-private and private lessons.
Whether you are just starting out, overcoming a fear of water or you are looking to refine your swim skills, our program gives adult swimmers at every level the opportunity to improve their skills. We offer a variety of class types for adults from small group classes to semi-private and private lessons. It’s never too late to learn this critical life skill. Our passionate instructors can help you overcome your fear and open the opportunity of enjoying the water.
Swimming is a life skill for all and it can also have tremendous therapeutic benefits. Being in water can soothe sensory overload, provide relief from physical discomfort, and provide students with a sense of independence. In addition to teaching water safety skills, swimming lessons can also improve balance, coordination, strength, and range of motion. At SafeSplash Swim School we have a team of certified instructors with various training and experience in working with students with special or unique needs. We encourage meeting with you and your swimmer prior to starting lessons to discuss your goals and develop a customized teaching plan that meets the needs of your family.
Our swim camps are perfect for swimmers looking to jump start their skills by swimming with us on a more frequent basis. Lesson frequency and consistency (along with quality instruction and a world class swim curriculum) is a key element in progressing a student’s swimming ability. Our swim camps provide lessons multiple times per week and are typically 1 to 3 weeks in duration. We also offer stroke clinics where we focus on specific stroke techniques to refine our student’s skills.
The SafeSplash Wave® program is an endurance, strength, and swim team prep program that takes swimmers who already have knowledge of the competitive swimming strokes and want to refine their swimming skills. Our Wave program is broken up into swimmer groups based on swimmer ability, physical conditioning and current knowledge of the strokes in accordance to USA Swimming standards and our SafeSplash curriculum. Each session includes a set workout with an out of water coach whose primary goal is to mimic the experience one would have on a recreational swim team.
