Meet the Team at SafeSplash Swim School -
Colorado Springs (Northgate & I25)

Our people are the source of our strength.  That is one of the primary tenants of the SafeSplash Colorado Springs team.  Our instructors are some of the most important people in the business, because of their relationship with our students.  When swim students have the same instructor week to week, they develop a first name basis relationship.  Our instructors work to understand the unique needs of each student, and to understand how each student learns best.  They ensure they are focusing structured curriculum time on both the swimming skill but also on the student.

Each one of our swim instructors is certified to teach/coach once they have completed an extensive classroom and in-water training program, a series of instructor shadowing sessions, and in-water instruction testing. In addition, all instructors and staff are CPR certified.  All of our team members contribute to our parent’s blog, which features parenting and family resources, swimming tips, and personal experiences.  Reading their blog posts is a great way to learn more about the perspectives that each of our instructors brings to the pool.  Each instructor is unique and has a unique perspective on teaching our students, and all are the best in the industry!

Below are some of the biographies of our key instructors and management staff.  You’ll notice that all of us have a story and interesting ties to our neighborhood.   Please don’t hesitate to stop by our school and get to know our staff, any time.

Tracey Ray, Owner/Chief Swim Officer

tray@safesplash.com

First and foremost Tracey was a Mom and a SafeSplash customer long before her dream of owning a school came to fruition. Her son Keaton was splashing in the water at 6 months old! It was then she and her husband, Scott, fell in love with the business, the people, and the utter importance of teaching children how to swim. Keaton is now 5 and a voracious swimmer; our little fish.

Both Tracey and Scott always wanted to run their own business but it needed to be one with a purpose and life meaning. "We can’t think of a better or more worthy one than the business of teaching children this most critical life skill: swimming." Tracey and Scott, SafeSplash - Colorado Springs Owners

Prior to Tracey and her husband Scott starting their own SafeSplash Swim School, Colorado Springs, Tracey had a very successful and rewarding career first as a Counselor at a Community College and, for the past 20 years, as a Human Resources professional. Tracey met Scott at work and they enjoyed a 5 year run at working together.  Tracey, Scott and Keaton spend as much time together as possible at the pool, the beach, scuba diving, camping, skiing and golfing.

Tracey also has contributed to our Parent's Blog! Check out her blogs on Dealing with Alzheimer's, starting a kid in swim team, and starting early with swim lessons for your kid!

Amber Fuller , General Manager

amber@safesplash.com

As long as she can remember she has loved kids and have been drawn to the water; so SafeSplash is a perfect fit for her!  She swam competitively in High School and has worked in Aquatics for over 10 years, teaching swimming lessons to all ages and developing staff. She delights in watching children progress in the water and develop their skills. To see someone go from fearful to fearless in the water is truly a rewarding experience for her! When she is not working, she enjoys being outside in beautiful Colorado and spending time with her family and three dogs.

Scott Ray , Chief Ocean Officer

sray@safesplash.com

Scott will be the first to tell you how fortunate he has been.  As a person born within site of the ocean, and a Father of 3 awesome kids who can swim like fish, Scott has a life-long love and respect for the water.  An avid scuba diver, Scott knows and understands both the importance of swimming, but how much fun it can be.  He and Tracey greatly enjoy being in business together.  Prior to SafeSplash, Scott spent 30 years in aerospace and IT technical fields, but has now moved on to be the Pool Boy at SafeSplash.  “There is nothing better than having a great team and a fantastic business partner, in a business that adds value to people’s lives; for the rest of their life,” said Scott.

In addition to our team, we work hard to partner and support many other small business operators in our local community.  We believe that supporting local small business in our community is one of the ways we can help our community thrive.  Here are some of the small businesses that we have partnered with over the years.  Please join us in supporting them when you have a need for their services and make sure you mention you are part of the SafeSplash Colorado Springs family when you do!
