What to Expect
on Your First Day

We want to make learning to swim as easy as possible, that includes making sure you are prepared for lessons. Learn what to expect and bring on your first day of lessons.

GET READY TO JUMP IN!

Learning to swim is a defining and memorable experience in your child's life. Our passionate team of certified instructors is here to make sure it is a positive experience for all. Through our small class sizes, warm water, individual attention and passionate team of certified instructors, we are committed to teaching all swimmers to learn to love and respect the water.

All families are required to review and agree to our SafeSplash School Policies. This is typically completed as part of creating a swimmer account. You can also access a printable via the link above.

clock-regular Arriving On Your First Day

Please join us 15 minutes prior to your class time on your first day. When you arrive, find one of our SafeSplash deck supervisors to help your swimmer get to their designated instructor. Once you’re in the swing of things, arriving 5-10 minutes works for most families. Most importantly, be sure your swimmer is ready to dive in on time.

suitcase-rolling-solid What to bring to lessons

We ask all swimmers to bring goggles, a swimsuit, a swim cap and a towel. Swim caps help keep swimmers hair out of their way and keep their goggles on! Be sure to apply sun block at least 15-minutes before your lesson!

eye-regular Where to watch your child’s lesson

There are tables and benches near the main pool for parents or caregivers to watch lessons. We ask parents to not join us poolside unless we’re showing off your swimmer’s newest skills. We’ve found that this approach helps students stay focused improving their progression and skill retention. Parents or caregivers are always required to stay on the premises during lessons.

At the end of each session, our certified instructors will provide a progress reports that keep you up-to-date on your students level and completed swim skills.
