COVID19 PRECAUTIONS

OPENING INFORMATION

OUR PROTOCOLS TO KEEP SWIMMERS SAFE WHILE TEACHING

THEM LIFE SAVING WATER SAFETY SKILLS

STEP 1 Acknowledge the COVID-19 waiver and release forms via your client portal:

  • You must complete the waiver by logging into your SafeSplash account; we will not accept a paper form of this waiver
  • Lessons will not take place without completing this first step
  • For assistance with this step, please call our customer service line at (682) 500-1733

STEP 2 Social distancing during swimming: 

  • Please arrive at the facility no more than 5 minutes prior to your lesson
  • Swimmers must arrive at the facility dressed in their swimwear along with their own goggles, towels and drinking water
    • Locker rooms, change tents and showers are CLOSED
    • Bring your own goggles; we will not have one for you to borrow
    • Water fountains are also turned OFF
    • We discourage the use of bathrooms; these will however be available for emergency use only
    • Swimmer(s) and families must leave right after their class following dry off with mask on
    • Swimmer(s) and families must exit through the pool deck only 
  • Adults AND children, must wear and keep their face mask on while in the facility
    • Cloth face masks must cover both the nose and mouth
      • Note: Swimmers do not wear face masks during lessons
  • SafeSplash team members will wear face masks and/or face shields both in and out of the water while conducting lessons
  • Only ONE (1) parent or guardian can be present to observe the lesson
    • Strategic distanced seating at 6 feet apart on pool deck; please do not sit next to someone if it will not put you 6 feet apart
    • You must remain seated in your spot and avoid moving around for the duration of the lesson
    • 2 classes will occur simultaneously at opposites ends of the pool
  • Smaller group classes (3:1 Ratio)
    • Swimmers in a 3:1 group class will be socially distanced
    • Swimmers in a group class do not share learning equipment
    • Swimmers in the same households and who are also on the same level will be placed together in a class
  • Private and semi-private classes are available
  • Designated one-way traffic patterns; customers will move clockwise around the pool to enter and exit the pool deck

STEP 3 Wellness policy for team members and customers:

  • Temperature scans will occur for SafeSplash team members AND swim families upon arriving at the facility
    • Must be at or below 100.3°F (According to the CDC website, a temperature of 100.4°F or greater is considered a fever)

  • Hands are sanitized before entering the pool area (hand sanitizers contain at least 60% alcohol)

  • We ask that you and your swimmer(s) remain seated at your designated seats and avoid moving and/or touching surfaces

  • Swim families must leave right after the end of each lesson by moving clockwise around the pool to exit the facility                                                                      
  • We kindly ask you to STAY HOME if you are sick. As presented by the CDC website, some of the following symptoms are
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Fever
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Sore throat
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Cough
    • Sneezing
    • Diarrhea
  • If you or a family member has been exposed to COVID-19, please do not come to lessons, STAY HOME and abide by the CDC recommended 14-day quarantine.

Steps 1 through 3 clearly outlines the procedures that are put in place prior to your enrollment in our program. Not following these rules will result in you being asked to leave the premises. Furthermore, a refund will not be processed for failing to follow or violating any of these procedures outlined.

Our enhanced cleaning efforts includes:

  • Cleaning of all equipment and surfaces will occur after the end of each lesson with medical grade cleaning solution
  • Pool chemical checks occurs daily
  • Nightly deep cleaning
  • Hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol are at various stations in our facility

Chlorine clean pools:

  • Well-balanced, chlorinated water to kill bacteria and viruses

As we try to serve you during these unprecedented times, we simply ask our staff and families to support us in upholding these procedures by continuing to play an important and responsible role in keeping yourself, and those around you safe beyond the pool. Remember, we are in this together, therefore we will not deviate, nor make any exceptions to these procedures, but rather adjust as we see fit to maintain the recommended safety measures.
