I have been a competitive swimmer since I was about 4 years old. Basically, swimming is in my blood and the life-skill of swimming is something that I deeply value. I am first time parent to an adorable baby boy who is almost 6 months old. Now that he is almost 6 months old I am ready to sign him up for a Parent-N-Me class. My excitement for him to get into the pool is off the charts! I mean…I cannot wait to see that little guy in the water! However, I have to admit that I am a little nervous. What if he doesn’t like it? What if he cries the whole class? What if the class time I picked is going to be when he is too sleepy and has a royal meltdown?
Swimming has always been a passion of mine, coaching competitive swimmers and teaching technical proficiency has been my focus. I have coached competitive swimmers from all levels; Olympians, U.S. National Teams, NCAA Champions and for the last 27 seasons, the Ohio State’s men’s swimming team. Every day I try to ensure my athletes receive a quality, first – rate experience built on the foundation of technique and quality.
This year marks SafeSplash’s 10th anniversary and we’re celebrating in a BIG way! We recently acquired the Swimtastic® Swim School brand; which provides swimming lessons in warm water schools in Wisconsin, Nebraska and Florida, making us the largest swim school network in North America, with 111 locations in 13 states! To say we are excited to welcome this award winning brand to our team would be quite an understatement.
SafeSplash has grown from 44 locations at the end of 2014 to 102 locations in 10 states in seven months! SafeSplash is proud to of our expansion because we are providing more opportunities around the country for children to learn a life skill – water safety.
