Stay Water Safe by Splashing into Winter with our Warm Water Swim Lessons!

At SafeSplash we encourage all kids and parents to stay safe this winter and get ready for your next vacation by taking lessons before the busy summer season starts. Our programs are designed to teach your kids how to swim and learn safety skills that will get you prepared in the water. As many parents already know Drowning is the second leading cause of death among children under the age of 13. Understanding what you should do and how to prepare around pools is an essential key to vacations and enjoying your time at the pool.

Follow these steps to practicing water safety:

No One is Drown-proof. Children need to learn to swim. Taking classes that are age appropriate may reduce the risk of drowning, but because kids develop at different rates, not all kids will be ready to swim at the same age. Click here to find out more information.

Take action to prevent drowning. Only allow kids to swim in supervised areas and always swim with a parent or buddy. Know before you go. Don't swim if you are not sure it is safe. Do not rely on floaties or foam toys to protect your kids, only a US Coast Guard Approved life jacket should be worn. To read more click here.

Know how to respond to an emergency. Parents should take courses on CPR, First Aid and Basic Water Rescue to be prepared. Know when to call 9-1-1, and know who your lifeguards are and where to find them. To learn more about how you can be prepared, click here.
